Initially conceived with one entertainer catering to a handful of events each month, the company rapidly grew through word-of-mouth referrals, prompting its proprietors to expand their team of entertainers to meet escalating demand.
In 2003, recognising the potential of the business, the original owners passed the baton, entrusting Cathy Randazzo, the original Bop till you Drop entertainer, with its ownership. Under Cathy’s adept leadership, Bop till you Drop has flourished, propelled by her unwavering dedication and tireless efforts. Her tenure as owner and director has been characterised by relentless commitment, with countless hours invested—seven days a week, year after year—culminating in the remarkable success the company enjoys today.
Cathy is a proud wife and parent of two girls and harbours a profound passion for fostering children’s growth, having worked with thousands of children over two decades. Applying her training as a professional actor and dancer, Cathy firmly advocates for the transformative power of dance and music in nurturing children’s self-esteem and encouraging their creative expression. Recognising dance as a unique sport, where there are no right or wrong dance moves, Cathy encourages children to embrace their own unique dance styles, free from imitation. Through these events, a nurturing environment is created , encouraging children to revel in their own individuality. This philosophy extends into our School Holiday Programs, where Bop till you Drop’s experienced professionals craft the classes to boost children’s self-esteem and foster their creative personal development.
In her pursuit of continuously delivering fresh and inventive party experiences, Cathy has broadened Bop till you Drop’s repertoire within the performing arts sphere. This expansion includes the integration of contemporary trends and in-demand party themes, such as Slime Parties, Science Experiments, Plaster Painting, Photo Booths, and even Stretch Hummer Disco experiences, among others. This dynamic platform is constantly evolving, with new themes and concepts regularly emerging. Bop till you Drop demonstrates remarkable versatility, adeptly accommodating events of varying scales, from intimate birthday celebrations and christenings to large-scale school discos, community fetes, and festivals, catering to audiences as large as 500 children.
Following several successful years, Cathy recognised the potential for broader impact and expanded Bop till you Drop to other regions of Australia. This strategic decision marked the beginning of an ambitious franchising journey. Presently, Bop till you Drop operates across multiple locations including Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle, Wollongong, Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong, Adelaide, and Perth. With this sustained growth and positive reception, the possibilities for future expansion are boundless, with goal of positioning Bop till you Drop for international reach.
